rhel cluster and pacemaker

Latest response

hi,
i seen that in rhel ha add-on and pacemaker there are no dedicated nics cards to corosync traffic.is this normal?
then corosync traffic is carried over the 2 nics in public lan.
other clusters like vcs have 2 nics for lan traffic and 2 nics for cluster.

Hello marius tanislav,

Ideally the cluster communication network should be on a separate private network, and also need to provide fault tolerance (especially on physical setup). You may further look into this detailed best practices document : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Cluster, High Availability, and GFS Deployment Recommended Practices

Particularly the section with the heading Setting Up Cluster Networks.

Hope this helps.
