Migrate licence of new server

Hi,
I am make installed a new server RedHat 8.3 for replace the old RedHat 5
I am on the screen Authentication on RedHat, but if I use my id/password, I have an error : [Errno -2] Name or service not known

How I can re-use my licence of RedHat5 on my new server without break the old server ?
On the portal RedHat, I can remove system, but If I doing it, my server RedHat 5 is in production. What are the consequences ?
