display somewhat grainy, looks like theres color noise

i think its the framebuffer, gdm and gnome3 look like theres a color fuzz (alternative color dots on various windows), the terminal looks like, blacks are fine, just the widgets and background colors look a little distorted

tried changing x11 servers and its the same, i think its the same in kde but kde is buggy on rhel8

tried disabling hardware acceleration, no dice, didnt start

anything i can try? it could be my motherboard

im using an asus z270 and onboard intel, displayport 2.0 and i tried an nvidia 1080 and the on board intel driver, same thing

hopefully the image processes

probably a bug, any chance of a fix?
