Memory usage in RHEL 8.3

Latest response

Hello, everyone. I performed a clean installation of RHEL 8.3 on my laptop. So far, I have been very satisfied with the quality of the operating system - it is stable, beautiful and fast with smooth animations. There is only one thing that worries me. After having operated my laptop for only half an hour, the memory consumption reaches 2 GB on idle. During the above-mentioned time, I had not done anything resourcefully heavy, just surfing the internet. During the installation, I had disabled kdump and on my first boot I had also disabled the cups service. Taking into consideration the fact that I use my laptop as a daily home driver only for internet surfing and document editing, isn't such a high memory usage a little bit excessive? Thanks in advance.
