Making the system lighter

Hello there. I have been using RHEL 8.3 as my daily driver for normal home use - mainly browsing and creating office documents. Could I deactivate some of the more advanced features of the operating system, since I find memory consumption (1.6 GB on idle) rather high? Thanks in advance.
