Burning Red Hat ISO to Thumb drive as instructed fails << RESOLVED
I know that the Fedora Media Writer is NOT supported by Red Hat. I was following RH's instructions to create install media (Thumb drive on Win 10), and it said to download/use Fedora Media Writer. I did so, but FMW failed immediately after I told it to 'Write to Disk'. I tried a different USB drive, downloaded a new image, tried again repeatedly and it just fails immediately with no message other than a useless'Error'.
Since Fedora MW isn't working, can anyone recommend another method for burning the ISO to a thumb drive that's verified to work with Windows and an RH ISO?
UPDATE: I verified there was nothing else attempting to access the target USB drive. I closed all other programs. Again tried a different image and different USB drive. I happened to notice in at the bottom of the screen the FMW said it was checking for an update. That didn't go away for 20 min. On a hunch, I uninstalled and reinstalled FMW and that seems to have fixed the issue. I'm not saying it was an issue w. FMW because, well, Windows is known for glitches. I just wish there had been more information than "Error" displayed by FMW. At any rare, I just had a successful write to thumb drive. Thanks to all who responded!
