Is it possible to limit the "Default View" pointing to Library to a certain date?

We have cleints connected to the "Library" Default View. But I need to limit them to Rhel7.7 not 7.8 that came out 3/31/2020. My repo is 7server. So I cant set the major/minor to 7.7 without downloading all the 7.7 repositories. What are my options? Create a view and set a date < 3/30/2020? and point all the clients to it? Is that the only way?
