Subscription Manager error

Latest response

Hi all,

Is anyone else having issues with trying to register systems to redhat at the moment?

I can see the tcp connection is working but it responds with the following error:

Hello Matt,

That looks to be a temporary error/glitch. Have you tried to register system directly on Red Hat Portal? Anyways, that is an alternative step. If you still have issues in getting system registered with Red Hat, then try out the following steps (assuming that your system could connect to internet successfully) :

# subscription-manager remove --all
# subscription-manager unregister
# subscription-manager clean
# yum clean all
# rm -rf /var/cache/yum/*

Once done, try to register, attach subscription automatically & check the status:

# subscription-manager register
# subscription-manager attach --auto
# subscription-manager status

I hope this helps.

thx, it helped me

Wow, NOTHING is working for me. Although I am trying to register RHEL 7.3 running in VirtualBox. Don't know if this is an issue or not. I'm about ready to give up. I've tried EVERYTHING.

Ok got it. For anyone else having this issue, I had to enter it just like below with single quotes around my password because I have other keyboard characters instead of just numbers in my password. So enter like this:
subscription-manager register --username your_username --password 'your$password'

Found here: [https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3989721]
Scroll down to where it says "Resolution: Use the single quotation marks ' to quote the password field." Oh, and be sure to use single quotes and NOT double quotes. Good luck.

RHEL 7 (tried with both 7.3 & 7.8) Subscription Manager Registration Error: Response: 503

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've been struggling for two straight days trying to register my RHEL instance to RHSM. Just like Owen, I'm using Oracle Virtualbox (version: Version 5.2.6 r120293). I also had it upgraded to 6.0.22 & then to the latest 6.1.12 before I posted this message & tried to register & got the same error.

My Subscription: Red Hat Developers Subscription.

Changed my Wireless Network to two different providers: Same result

Followed the standard steps given in multiple Red Hat Blogs & Advisories but every time I get the same error!!

Unregister & Clean subscription-manager remove --all subscription-manager unregister subscription-manager clean yum clean all rm -rf /var/cache/yum/* Re-register subscription-manager register subscription-manager attach --auto subscription-manager status

I do not have a network or DNS error. My system is communicating with Red Hat RHSM server but then crashing!!

It worked for me by trying the resolution provided here: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/4173071

After successful registration, you should see a message in the output as the below: "The system has been registered with ID: registration_id

The registered system name is: your_host_name"

Thanks.

So, I'm seeing that message while trying to register as I've posted above The system has been registered with ID: ace5257c-5a7b-44bd-b535-98d78cafe9fa The registered system name is: ansible11.classroom.example.com

But immediately after it starts getting the Tracebacks & ultimately it ends up with the error RemoteServerException: Server error attempting a PUT to /subscription/consumers/ace5257c-5a7b-44bd-b535-98d78cafe9fa/profiles returned status 503

After this whatever I do I keep getting the same error every time!!
