Unalble to do "Unable to do subscription-manager register"

Hi,

Under vmware--> Red hat enterprise linux 7 64-bit while doing subscription-manager register in root, it requested for username and password.
on giving valid credentials then clicking on Enter, I am seeing the following error:
Network error, unable to connect to server. Please see /var/log/rhsm/rhsm.log for more information.

Could you please help me on it.
