Open VPN Client (GNOME) Redhat Enterprise 8

Latest response

Hi all,
Whats the recommended way to get an open vpn client in network manager in RHEL8?
I was expecting a package such as network-manager-openvpn-gnome, but can't find one in the repos.

Enable epel repo and those package is available now in epel 8. Please go though other discussion about enabling other third party repo. here is the link . After enabling epel repo, search for vpn package available

echo "this will switch user to root and below command will run as root"
dnf search *vpn*
echo "this will search for availablr vpn package. install all vpn package you need"
dnf install openvpn NetworkManager-openvpn NetworkManager-openvpn-gnome
echo "if you need to install support for other vpn client link libreswan then install those as well"
echo "don't forget to exit out of root as soon as you are done"

Please understand what each command does and then type as it is. Hope this will solve your problem. Thank you
