Rhel 7.4 Login Loop - Lenovo ThinkPad - Ctrl + Alt + Fn[1-12] not working

I had done a fresh installation of Rhel 7.4 on my Lenovo ThinkPad T430 laptop. I installed few softwares and it was running fine for few days.

I decided to restart my laptop.

After which I am unable to login, it is stuck in a loop. My username and password is correct.

Things I have tried (after searching online for solutions):
1. Ctrl + Alt + Fn [1-12] to enter into terminal, this does not work. Ctrl + Atl + Fn [2-12] just hangs. Ctrl + Alt + F1 returns back to login console.

  1. Ctrl + ALt + T to enter the terminal, not working

  2. Restarted multiple times, not working.

  3. Ctrl + ALt + Fn + F[1-12] not working.

I need to get to terminal to try some workarounds mentioned online to delete some files.

Can you guys please help me on this? I have lots of data which is critical to me and need to fix this.
I think re-installing the OS will not help since I can hit this issue again.
