Has anyone upgraded Satellite Sever 6.2.13 to Red Hat 7.5? Any issues?

Latest response

Satellite Server 6.2.13 currently running on RHEL 7.4. Thinking about upgrading it to 7.5. Need to make sure if anyone had any issues doing so. Thanks.

Hi Shisheer,

Please ask the Red Hat Customer Support team. Jan Gerrit Kootstra reported the other day that Satellite is not supported so far.
As I don't know if this did change and RHEL 7.5 is supported now, best and most safe way is to ask the support team members. :)

Christian

Thanks Christian. I have sent an email to the support team.

You're welcome, Shisheer ! Hopefully you'll get a positive answer so that you can upgrade soon. :)

Christian

I successfully upgraded to RHEL 7.5 today without any issues. I got an answer from the support team earlier and now they are saying it's safe to upgrade to 7.5 now.

That's good news, Shisheer - I'm glad that you could successfully upgrade to RHEL version 7.5 ! :)

Christian

My satellite server was 7.4 running satellite 6.2.11. I started the update of satellite to 6.3 and after the update server was also updated to 7.5

I am also thinking about going to 6.3. Have you seen any issues with 6.3 so far?

No issues for now, everything works perfectly. I really like it.

I know this thread is about 6.2.13, but I'm running a 6.2.14 satellite and upgraded to rhel 7.5 with "no issues" to be seen yet

I am running the same version and having issues with syncing internal custom local repo on web GUI.

I'm Running RHEL7.5 (3.10.0-862.2.3.el7) with Satellite 6.3.1 and also glad to report no issues so far.
