JBOSS Migration

Latest response

Hello

I'm trying to upgrade JBOSS 6.2 to JBOSS 7.0.

At this point I got JBOSS 7.0 running. Does anybody know which files I need to copy from 6.2 to 70?

The migration guide says to copy the standalone, domain and custom modules to the new server. When I do that I get an error.

Has anybody done this before?

Thanks in advance

Hi Felipe,

There are changes that you will need to make to your server configuration files in order for them to work properly in a JBoss EAP 7.0 server. See this section [1] of the Migration Guide for more information.

If you first update JBoss EAP 6.2 to 6.4, then you could try using the JBoss Server Migration Tool [2] to automatically migrate your server configuration files from JBoss EAP 6.4 to 7.0. Note that the tool is currently not supported by Red Hat. Otherwise, you would want to follow the directions in the Migration Guide to do a manual migration using the migrate management CLI operations.

I would also recommend opening a support case to allow a support engineer to assist with the errors that you're seeing.
