KDUMP SETUP

Hi everybody
I have a RHEL 7.0 server in the environment, randomly the server becomes slowly,.
The server acts as a DB server fro Cache DB and runs a lot of cups processes, The server boots from a 8GB SD card, no internal HDD's .
The rest is all connected to a LUN on the 3PAR. My question now is, How do I configure KDUMP to dump to the LUN on the 3PAR, as it looses connection to the 3PAR as soon as it becomes slowly.
Should we invest in a few internal HDD's to resolve this issue.

Hi Jurgens,

You should be able to dump to SAN in RHEL 7.

If you have trouble dumping to SAN, you can also dump via ssh or NFS.

As with all kdump configurations, test that it works for your configuration.
