JBoss EAP 7 Spring support

Latest response

Hi there

We are looking for solutions with Spring Framework.
We did a research about it and we found this link below:
https://access.redhat.com/articles/2026253

And

"Red Hat may end support of these new "tested frameworks" at the end of the full support (Phase 1) cycle of Red Hat JBoss EAP 7."

Our questions:
1) If we choose eap 7.0.0 we will have your support described at the previous link ?
2) We will still have this support (spring 4.5.x) on 7.x.x versions ?

This is crucial for our decision to migrate to eap 7
Now we have eap 6.4.0.

We’re asking about it because we cannot have unsupported technologies here in the Bank and we WILL work with Spring framework.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards
Alex

Responses

Hi Alex,

To get a definitive statement of support for your specific situation, I would highly encourage you to open a support case so we can have a look into your specific requirements and versions that you want to use.

In most cases Red Hat Global Support Services will provide commercially reasonable support for up-to-date tested frameworks with appropriate supported versions of JBoss EAP.

The page you listed (https://access.redhat.com/articles/2026253), lists the frameworks and their versions we have tested with JBoss EAP 7.

You can read more on 'Phase 1' support in the Red Hat JBoss Middleware Product Update and Support Policy.

Thank you
