Following the https://access.redhat.com/articles/2973131 steps for subscription-manager, I was able to attach the Extended Life Cycle subscription but I couldn't enable the repo

subscription-manager repos --enable rhel-5-server-els-rpms

Error: rhel-5-server-els-rpms is not a valid repo ID. Use --list option to see valid repos.

What went wrong here?
