No grub config for REAR recover?

Latest response

I am testing out to learn how to use REAR for my backup and recovery.

I successfully created iso file and burned to DVD , however, after I do "rear -d -v recovery" , I do not see any grub config under /mnt/local/boot/efi.
Which ends up not showing grub menu during the system boot.

Is this correct behavior or am I missing any configuration?

I noticed that this issue was discussed in forum and assume it is an issue with mkisofs command that is used to create boot image. Check out this link Rear Recover on UEFI system

Thanks. I will check it out.

The cause for my case was BACKUP=NETFS was not specified in the local.conf when rear -v -d mkbackup was done. However, bootloader is not correctly installed when xfs filesystem is used for /boot partition.

grub2-install failed in rear recover with /boot partition formatted with XFS https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1399487

I would like to know in which version or patch ,perhaps, the fix will be applied.
