New to virtualization
Hi,
I am new to virtualization also with red hat virtualization also with the whole red hat enterprise. I have tried using virtualbox for my testing, but this time, I would like to implement a virtual environment compose of windows server utilizing Active Directory, I would like also to add a server software for our file server for testing and when I am familiar on it, it will be our production environment.
Is this feasible and is it being use in the real world scenario? Thank you.

Hi there,
If you've just got the one physical server, you should be fine to use KVM and virt-manager [1], which is included with your RHEL subscription.
For larger deployments where you want to centrally manger your VM's, you'll want something like Red Hat Virtualization (RHV). This is a separate product that you will need to purchase, but provides a whole lot of extra features. [2]
If you would like to learn more about RHV without investing in it just yet, you can check out the upstream project - oVirt - here [3]. This will allow you to centrally manage multiple hypervisors, but it's not supported by Red Hat Support - so definitely not recommended for production environments :)
Cheers,
Marcus
