Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization download page is a mess

Latest response

I am not sure if it is just due to recent rebranding/versioning but when downloading the Red Hat Virtualization ISOs/OVAs seems extremely messy.

The 3.6 RHEV-M OVA is under 3.6 as expected, but the RHEV-H image is under 7.2 which is also counted as the 'latest release'.

There is also a mix of versions, many of which hold no content, eg. there are two '3.5' versions with no ISOs, but when you switch to 'Packages' the version strangely jumps to '7' in the drop down menu.

This is all without mentioning the 3 beta versions that clutter up the menu.... can someone from Red Hat take a look and perhaps make the download process a little more intuitive?

Thanks PixelDrift; I'll pass this feedback on.

Did this get resolved? I feel this page is a mess and have complained a few times, but the entire page is a mess. If you need a GA build of RHEV-H and RHEV-M its very challenging to get the combination right. I am glad others are complaining also. But did it get fixed? Or can someone simply help me figure out where to get the LATEST GA builds, with specific URL for RHEV{H|M}

We need latest GA build due to the lack of STIGs completed for RHEL7.x

Look at the following KB articles that help explain the mapping of RHEV-H versions (and RHEL-H...aka RHEL+KVM) to supported RHEV-M releases.

Which RHEV Hypervisor version can be used with which RHEV Manager version?

If you need to run a new release of RHEV-M (say, 3.6) with an older release of RHEV-H (say, 6.6 -- meaning based on RHEL 6.6), be sure that the compatibility mode of your Data Center/Cluster is set to 3.5.
