Best practices for deploying application upgrades on EAP?

Latest response

Could anyone point me toward documentation on best practices on how to deploy Java EE applications upgrades across a cluster of JBoss EAP servers? I want to minimize down time while avoiding any problems with running out of PermGen memory due to loading new classes.

Hi

Depending on your requirements and environment up there's a number of options you can choose. Take a look at the admin guide here on setting up a domain first of all.

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/JBoss_Enterprise_Application_Platform/6.3/html-single/Administration_and_Configuration_Guide/index.html#About_Managed_Domains

Then take a look at the clustering sections in the admin guide

Optum Technology Engineering,

I'm wondering if you proceeded with the Java EE application upgrades and if so, if the upgrades were successful.

Was the information provided by Mustafa useful? Do you have any further questions since the upgrades?
