archiving rhel
Hi guys,
In Solaris, there is a native utility called flar, used to create an archive of the system and can be used to install a new system using Jumpstart.
Is there any native utility in RHEL which can be used to create an archive and used in kickstart?
Thanks always for your help

Hi Arrey,
We have (private) BZ 1059196: RFE: Include "Relax & Recover" REAR package in RHEL 7 in flight for similar functionality. If you have a support contract, please open a ticket and ask to be added to this Bugzilla.
REAR is currently in EPEL for RHEL 6.
in the mean time, we do have have some guidance on similar ideas in:
- Creating a clone of current server
- How can we create a customized Golden Image or RHEL ISO with kickstart file?
I'm sorry I can't give a more positive answer at this time, but some of the other forum contributors may have procedures that they can share.
