How can I use passphrases in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5?

Passphrases are like passwords, except they consist of words, whitespace, and punctuation. Despite being at least as strong as the finger-bending passwords required by pam_cracklib, they are easier to remember for average users. "a bird in the hand" is an easy-to-remember passphrase, despite being 18 characters in length.
