What is the procedure to get the latest "SAS" drivers for a System x server?

The procedure below needs to be followed:

  • Start at: http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/support

  • Select "System x" under "Product Support"

  • Select the server under "Product Family" (optionally select the "Type" and "Model"), "Red Hat Enterprise Linux" under "Operating System," and click on "go"

  • Select the "Download" tab (if not already on it)

  • Select the "Serial attached SCSI (SAS)" category under "Refine Results" and click on "go"

Please keep in mind that Red Hat does not provide support for any problems associated with the vendor-supplied driver, however Red Hat will assist with getting any cases transfered to the appropriate support personnel within IBM.
