The Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) self-service is released as a technology preview as part of the Ansible Automation Platform subscription, with limited support offered in accordance with Red Hat’s support guidelines.

Support for linked external resources, tools, and platforms

The AAP self-service technology preview links to external resources, tools, and platforms that have varying support levels and Life Cycles.

Red Hat Developer Hub acceptable usage

The AAP self-service technology preview installs with a base Red Hat Developer Hub (RHDH) image. This image is not supported for standalone use beyond AAP self-service technology preview functionality. Please refer to Scope of support for Red Hat Developer Hub component included with Ansible Automation Platform Self-Service Technology Preview for more information.

AAP Self-service plug-ins support status

AAP self-service technology preview uses a plug-in architecture for its features. Below is a list of the specific plugins used and their support status.

Installing the ansible-plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-backstage-rhaap-dynamic version 1.5 and using it to create new Ansible playbook and collection Git projects is fully supported by Red Hat. Any functionality beyond this scope is in Technology Preview.
