How can I limit users of vsftp to only their home directory?

Updated -

There are situations when you do not wish FTP users to be able to access any files outside of their own home directory. The vsftp daemon can be chrooted to implement this policy.

Edit the file /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf and add this line:

chroot\_local\_user=YES

Remember to restart the vsftpd service after saving the changes in your configuration...
