Systems that support the newer Ivy Bridge-EP processors require a newer version of RHEL 5 than the same system with a Sandy Bridge-EP processor.

The minimum required version for Ivy Bridge-EP processor & Patsburg (C600 Series) Chipset support is RHEL 5.9.
