No. The 64-bit x86-64 GDB rpm provided in the distribution (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 3) is not currently capable of creating successful core files for 32-bit applications when using GDB's gcore
command. It's capable, however, of reading 32-bit core files.
