How do I install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 2 on a Stratus ftServer system?

Updated -

When installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 2 on a Stratus ftServer system, the following boot parameter acpi=off noacpi nousb must be specified when booting the installation program. For example, to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 2 using the graphical installer, type the following at the boot prompt:

linux acpi=off noacpi nousb

The USB keyboard and mouse connected to the system will function correctly, however, any USB CD-ROM drive or USB hard drive can not be used to install the system.

The SMP kernel will be installed by default. After installation, the system does not require the boot parameters. They should be removed for normal operation of the system after installation is complete.
