How do I regenerate a GRUB file?

After hardware or hardware settings changed, you may sometimes need to force GRUB to rescan devices. To have GRUB rescan all of the devices and regenerate the /boot/grub/, do the following:

  1. If the already exists, move it to

     mv /boot/grub/ /boot/grub/
