How do I check how long my system has been up and running?

To check how long your server has been running, you can run the following command:

uptime

The above command would also show how many users are currently logged in, and the load average for the system.

For example:

$ uptime
 17:16:44  up 63 days,  8:07,  4 users,  load average: 0.14, 0.17, 0.16
...
