Where does Apache store its configuration files?

In Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Apache is, by default, installed in /etc/httpd. But this path also depends on how apache has been compiled. To know the location where apache is installed, run the following command:
# httpd -V
The command will generate result similar to this:
Server version: Apache/2.0.52
Server built: Dec 15 2005 ...Subscriber exclusive content
