Is it possible to safely upgrade the log4j version of the JBoss ON agent?

Issue

  • jon-agent comes with log4j 1.2.16, which does not support RFC5424
  • using the TAG field of RFC3164 does not work because log4j 1.2.16 is affected by the following bug: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=46626
  • Can I safely replace jon-agent's log4j jar to a newer one
