How can I specify the exact package version to be installed in kickstart installation in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • I wanted to specify all of the package version to be installed in %package section of my kickstart file.
  • I used a repository including all packages from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 ISO image and any updated packages after General Availability.
  • I don't want all of latest packages in the repo. It's the reason why I specified the exact package versions in kickstart file.
  • But, I got the following errors during installation.
NetworkManager-0.9.9.1-13.git20140326.4dba720.el7.x86_64 requires NetworkManager-glib(x86_64) = 1:0.9.9.1-13.git20140326.4dba720.el7
kernel-tools-3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64 requires kernel-tools-libs = 3.10.0-123.el7
