"Error setting up Base repo" when two DVDs boot.iso and RHEL7.0 GA ISO used to install OS.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The scenario is as follows.

    • The minimal boot.iso has been modified to little to use kickstart file in it and the installation media is untouched.
    • The machine has two CDROM drives, first containing boot.iso and second containing RHEL7.0 GA untouched/verified DVD iso.
    • Boot the machine with boot.iso
    • When the repodata is downloaded, it will show up the error message like "Error Setting Up Base Repositories", and when clicked on it, anaconda ACTUALLY detects sr1 i.e. RHEL7.0 GA has the repodata and that's really correct.
    • The media verification goes well again but still error persists.
  • Is this a bug?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 GA
