Issue

  • The sftp login fails with the following error message:
Write failed: Broken pipe
Couldn't read packet: Connection reset by peer
  • The ssh server outputs the following error in /var/log/secure.
sshd[XXXX]: fatal: bad ownership or modes for chroot directory 
  • /etc/ssh/sshd_config has ChrootDirectory configuration.
