rgmanager fs, netfs, clusterfs resource agent status checks failing with "<device> is not mounted on <mountpoint>" in RHEL 6

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • multiple cluster service failed with "unspecified" error from netfs
  • Around the same time, some, but not all, of our netfs resources failed with "is not mounted on "
Jun 20 14:01:09 rgmanager [netfs] netfs:myNFS1: nfsserver:/NFS1 is not mounted on /NFS1
Jun 20 14:01:09 rgmanager status on netfs "myNFS1" returned 7 (unspecified)
Jun 20 14:01:09 rgmanager [netfs] Checking fs "myNFS2", Level 0
Jun 20 14:01:09 rgmanager [netfs] Checking fs "myNFS3", Level 0
Jun 20 14:01:09 rgmanager [netfs] Checking fs "myNFS4", Level 0
Jun 20 14:01:10 rgmanager [netfs] Checking fs "myNFS5", Level 0
Jun 20 14:01:10 rgmanager [netfs] netfs:myNFS5: nfsserver:/NFS5 is not mounted on /NFS5
Jun 20 14:01:10 rgmanager status on netfs "myNFS5" returned 7 (unspecified)
  • When I trigger autofs' auto.net to mount the same NFS shares that are already managed by a netfs resource, they fail their next status check and recover.
