RHEL 5.8 NFS error "Warning: rpc.idmapd appears not to be running"
Issue
When trying to mount the NFS share hitting error below :
mount -t nfs4 NFS_server:/share /mnt/nfs4/
Warning: rpc.idmapd appears not to be running.
All uids will be mapped to the nobody uid.
Environment
- Kernel 2.6.18-274.12.1.el5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7
- nfs-utils-lib-1.0.8-7.9.el5
- nfs4-acl-tools-0.3.3-3.el5
- nfs-utils-1.0.9-60.el5
