[RHEL5] kdump doesn't work as expected if root filesystem is different from one of dump partion.
Issue
- Kdump creates a vmcore under root partition instead of dump partition specified in
/etc/kdump.conffile. - This issue always occurs when filesystem type of root partition is different from one of dump partition.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8
- kexec-tools-1.102pre-154.el5
