Why did GFS2 filesystem withdraw with "fatal: invalid metadata block" and function = gfs2_meta_indirect_buffer on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Cluster?

Issue

  • GFS2 filesystem being withdrawn due to invalid metadata blocks and function = gfs2_meta_indirect_buffer.
  • Unable to umount GFS2 filesystem.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server(RHEL) 5.7 (with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • A Global Filesystem 2(GFS2)
