Why is the sssd daemon throwing 'dereference processing failed : Input/output error' on Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Issue
- On a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 system configured as Active Directory client using
sssd,sssddaemon is logging the following message in/var/log/messages:
sssd[be[AD.EXAMPLE.COM]]: dereference processing failed : Input/output error
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- LDAP server (Active Directory server/ Red Hat Directory Server(RHDS) / OpenLDAP / SunOne Directory server)
