Differences in FSW and EAP

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • When FSW is installed, it should be installed on EAP. So is it possible and recommended to run a single box with EAP and FSW in production? If possible we will be able to deploy our own developed apps on EAP and at the same time we will be able to use the FSW too on the same server.

  • And the other question is, when the latest FSW is installed (through jboss-fsw-installer-6.0.0.GA-redhat-4.zip), it asks for jboss-eap-6.1, but we have already installed the jboss-eap-6.2. So is it impossible to run FSW on jboss-eap-6.2?
And isn’t it possible to deploy the FSW 6.0.0 on existing EAP, because it’s trying to replace EAP again without recognizing the already existing EAP?

  • Is it possible to install FSW and EAP on the same server? When you have two separate version of the EAP on the same server there will be a port conflicts etc?

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Fuse Service Works (FSW)
    • 6.x
  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
    • 6.2.0
