How to use the message filter feature in HawtIO - ActiveMQ plugin ?

Issue

• We see that hawtio provides capability to browse messages in a queue. We also see a filter text box on the top. We would like to be able to search or filter the browsed messages. Please provide an example of how to use the filter text box to perform the following.

  • Search for a message by JMSMessageID
  • Search for a message by a custom JMS Header property.

• Typically, if a queue has hundreds of messages, we cannot expect the user to look through each one of them to find the message they are interested in. We are pretty sure the filter box is there for the purpose of quickly searching for a limited set of messages from the full list. Our research has shown that the grid is implemented using Angular-JS ng-grid framework and the documentation does say that filter box can be used to filter the contents of the grid by the column labels. our intent here is to see if redhat can provide some examples of what syntax to use in the filter box to do the following.
