LLC drops SNAP packets when skb is chained
Issue
- When writing a kernel module to receive Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) traffic using the kernel's built-in LLC routines, traffic is dropped when the receive traffic is sufficiently large that SKBs are chained. As a result, only small SNAP traffic is received.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5
kernel-2.6.32-431.el6
- LLC/SNAP traffic such as CDP
