WCM Advanced Search Portlet is not working in EPP 5.2 with Site Publisher

Issue

  • Searching simple terms with the WCM Advanced Search Portlet (WASP) is not returning any results, although we have matching contents
  • When we search anything in WASP, a NullPointerException is thrown:
 Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: No null parameter name
         at org.exoplatform.web.url.PortalURL.setQueryParameterValue(PortalURL.java:303)
         at org.exoplatform.wcm.webui.search.UISearchResult.getURL(UISearchResult.java:406)

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Portal Platform (EPP) 5.2.0
  • Site Publisher (SP) 5.2.0
