Why the duplicated address verification is not done for aliases interfaces?
Issue
The ifup-alias script, from initscripts, doesn't verify if the IP address from network interface alias is already in use.
Therefore, it's possible there is duplicate IP addresses on alias interfaces.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6
- initscripts before initscripts-9.03.32-1.el6
