Making iptables rules to forward DNS packets

Issue

  • ServerA has eth0:10.159.74.4 and eth1:192.168.1.2
  • eth1 is a GW for ServerB:IP:192.168.1.3
  • SeverB sends out DNS query from 192.168.1.3 to A.xxx-intra.net
  • ServerB to ServerA eth1 -> eth0 -> A.xxx-intra.net >>> working
  • No DNS answers received on Server B

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7
