Issue
- "Error: status on lvm "lvm_vg_sap" returned 1 (generic error)" on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- cluster service failovers on its own to sibling node on indicated error.

Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 Advanced Platform
- Red Hat Cluster Suite cluster consisting of at least 2 nodes
- HA-LVM configured in non-CLVMD mode
- Using lvm_by_vg.sh script with multiple logical volumes in a single volume group
- HA-LVM resource entry lists path to volume group instead of just volume group name (ie. vg_name="/dev/vg_data")
- HA-LVM configured in non-CLVMD mode
- Shortly after a service containing an LVM resource is started successfully, a status check fails and the service relocates to another node in the cluster. This may happen repeatedly.
