Starting scsi_reserve for SCSI persistent reservation fencing throws error "did not find devices in cluster volumes" in RHEL 5

Issue

  • When I start the scsi_reserve service, the following error messaged shows up:
Mar 22 16:28:10 test01 scsi_reserve: [error] did not find devices in cluster volumes

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 with the High Availability Add-On
  • SCSI Persistent Reservation Fencing (fence_scsi)
