How do I start and manage DLM in a RHEL 7 pacemaker cluster?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • dlm_controld and the DLM module used to be loaded by cman during boot. How do I have it loaded automatically on startup in a RHEL 7 pacemaker cluster?
  • I have LVM2, GFS2, or other resources that depend on DLM. How can I configure them such that this dependency is enforced, and DLM is started and ready before these resources are started?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 with the Resilient Storage Add On
  • lvm2-cluster (clvmd), GFS2, or other resources that require the Distributed Lock Manager (DLM)
  • pacemaker
