NFS mount points permission denied issue, error "refused mount request from.. :unmatched host" in logs

Issue

  • We have one database server which is having NFS mount points coming from different NFS servers.

  • Currently it has 8 NFS mountpoints among them 3 are mounted but rest are not.

  • When I tried to mount them I am getting permission denied error. Need your assistance in getting it fixed.

  • Snippet of error which we are getting.

# mount -a
mount: <nfs-server.com>:/<nfs-share> failed, reason given by server: Permission denied

Environment

  • NFS Client Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
  • NFS Server Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.10
